The Social Gaming Group, the tech-focused competitive socialising company, has launched its global 2026 partnership campaign Darts for Everyone, inpartnership with the popular global darts brand, Winmau.

Rolling out across 2026, Darts for Everyone will launch a series of tournaments across The Social Gaming Group’s Oche venues and partner locations worldwide, with the partnership reflecting the company’s philosophy of ‘Purposeful Play.’

Each event will combine The Social Gaming Group’s digitally elevated gameplay with Winmau’s unparalleled darts heritage, blending precision technology, immersive game modes, and intuitive tutorials designed to welcome newcomers and honour the tradition and ethos of the sport.

The campaign marks the first step towards The Social Gaming Group’s emerging ‘social fitness’ movement, which champions healthier social habits through accessible, activity-led experiences. In a social climate defined by the “friendship recession” (the decline in the number of friends people have) and shifts in traditional socialising, social darts offers a refreshing alternative: an unintimidating, low-threshold way to connect and play together.

By blending innovation with authenticity, the partnership ensures that darts is not treated as novelty entertainment but as a social-first experience that feels welcoming, meaningful and genuinely enjoyable for players of all levels.

Trond Bastiansen, CEO of The Social Gaming Group, said: “Darts for Everyone is about making it easier for people to find genuine, joyful connection, which is at the centre of what we call Purposeful Play.

“Partnering with Winmau, an icon of the darts world, allows us to honour the true spirit of the game while using technology to open it up to entirely new groups. We’re already seeing this at our Oche venues, where we are seeing darts being enjoyed by all groups.

“Meanwhile, our Oche Strand site recently hosted the Winmau Masters draw and the unveiling of the Blade X, Winmau’s most advanced dartboard to date.

“Together, we’re redefining what modern social darts can be.”

Phil Borthwick, Chief Marketing Officer of Nodor Group, Winmau’s parent company, said: “The sport of darts is inherently social: it’s easy to learn, endlessly engaging, and brings people together with ease.

“The Social Gaming Group network supports our aim of bringing the game we love to millions through dynamic and engaging formats, but it also supports bringing people together for social interaction, creating plenty of opportunity for feeling part of a group with conversation and laughter which enriches emotional health for many”.

Over the past four months, since receiving training from the Junior Darts Corporation (JDC), Fleetwood Town Community Trust has delivered a series of school and community-based darts sessions, engaging more than 40 young people and working across 28 local primary schools. Activity has also included a next step in development with a JDC Foundation Day, highlighting the growing interest in structured junior darts within the area.

PDC star Scott Williams and JDC prospect Jack Johnson were joined by celebrity maths ambassador Bobby Seagull for a special Bullseye Maths session at Alexandra Palace on Wednesday.

Bullseye Maths, in association with Vanquis, is the award-winning numeracy scheme launched by the PDC in 2022 to promote the links between the sport and maths.

A group of 25 pupils from Tudor Primary School were joined by the star trio at the home of the World Darts Championship for a special festive session.

2023/24 World Championship semi-finalist Williams – a round one winner at Alexandra Palace on Tuesday – joined Junior Darts Corporation prospect Johnson to share their experiences of maths and give darting tips with the Year Five pupils.

The session also featured maths teacher, broadcaster and writer Bobby Seagull, who is also an ambassador for National Numeracy.

“I’m so excited to be here because I’m a big darts fan – I always watch it on the TV,” he said.

“Normally children that are doing maths in the classroom, paper and pen, but this is real life maths – they really engage – and they can see that connection between what they’re doing in their head and the maths, and actually how it’s impacting them on the dartboard.

“They’re practicing the darts but also, more importantly, practicing their maths and arithmetic skills because I think with young people, you show them that maths can be applied to the real world.

“It makes it magic and come to life.”

Williams, who will continue his World Championship challenge on Tuesday against Jermaine Wattimena, said: “If I did this at school, I would have got into darts when I was ten!

“Sport was my number one but maths was my number two, so adding them together would have been huge. For me, this is incredible.

“Maths is my son’s favourite subject and it just happens that counting is my job now and this makes it easy.”

The Bullseye Maths session was delivered by the JDC Education team, and was also featured on BBC London News and BBC London Radio.

“This was a brilliant opportunity for our pupils, and several children said it was the best school trip they’d ever been on!” said Tudor Primary School Head of School Iain Dalziel.

“This was a hugely engaging way of bringing maths into a real life context for the children. They got a wonderful experience in addition to being able to apply their mental arithmetic skills in a fun, challenging way.”

Gary Horsley, the Junior Darts Corporation’s Director of Community & Education Projects, said: “This was a fantastic session to end another enjoyable year of Bullseye Maths.

“We’re grateful for the support of all the PDC players who’ve been involved this year as well as Jack Johnson.

“Having Jack, Scott Williams and Bobby Seagull with us enable us to enhance the Bullseye Maths session – and for the pupils to get to experience Alexandra Palace and visit the World Championship will be a special memory for them.”

There are good days in a sporting life, there are great days… and then there are the days where the universe steps in, straightens your tie, pats you on the back and says: This one’s for the mantelpiece.

Luke Humphries just had one of those days.

Windsor Castle — all stone, ceremony and centuries of weight — played host to the man who only twelve months ago was conquering a very different palace. Not Buckingham. Not one with crown jewels. The one with plastic cups, Viking helmets, and a thousand drunken Santas screaming his name as he sat proudly on the darting throne at Alexandra Palace. But today belonged to a different kind of royalty.

Today, Luke Humphries collected three letters that will follow his name for the rest of his life: MBE.

In the grand halls of Windsor, the Prince of Wales himself handed him the honour — a surreal moment for a lad from Newbury who has battled mental demons to reach the pinnacle in his chosen field.

“It was a massive privilege and honour to receive my MBE from the Prince of Wales today,” Humphries reflected afterward, still glowing like someone who’d just thrown nine perfect darts across the Royal lawns. And if it looked emotional, that’s because it was.

“This is a great achievement for me and my family, and I couldn’t have achieved this without them.”

The Humphries clan have lived every moment with him — the early mornings, the youth events, the heartbreaking losses, the meteoric rise, the world-title coronation. Today wasn’t just his; it belonged to the whole crew.

This wasn’t some symbolic pat on the head, a ceremonial nod to a “nice lad doing well.” Cool Hand earned this with a run of form that may go down as the most sustained period of excellence since Phil Taylor was industrialising world titles. He didn’t just win. He reshaped the landscape.

The world first took proper notice when he lifted the 2019 World Youth Championship. The win said “future star.” Few realised it actually meant “incoming era.” Then came the breakthrough — the 2023 World Grand Prix — the trophy that cracked open the dam. After that, the flood arrived: Grand Slam of Darts, Players Championship Finals, TV title after TV title, until finally, inevitably, unavoidably, he climbed onto darts’ most coveted throne.

January 2024. Alexandra Palace. A record-breaking final against Luke Littler that felt less like a match and more like the start of a rivalry Sky Sports executives will be dining out on for the next decade. Humphries won. Emphatically. Clinically. Historically. The Sid Waddell Trophy didn’t have to be engraved — it practically wrote his name on itself. And he didn’t stop there. World Matchplay. World Cup of Darts. Another Players Championship Finals crown. The World Masters. And then the Premier League in May 2025, delivered with the icy smile of a man who now expects to win things that terrify everyone else.

“I’m very grateful for the platform I get as a professional darts player, and I’m very proud to have made such an impact and receive such a prestigious award.” Prestigious doesn’t even cut it. He is now officially part of the national record — a player honoured not just for winning, but for elevating the entire sport.

Barely hours after leaving Windsor Castle, the conversation shifts back to the only palace that really matters in December. The 2025/26 Paddy Power World Darts Championship. The one with the £1 million jackpot. The one where legends are minted and forgotten, often in the space of minutes. Humphries enters this edition not as a plucky ex-champion, but as a man carrying an MBE in his luggage and a target on his back. The 128-player field is swollen with storylines, hopefuls and hungry newcomers, but one truth remains: when Cool Hand gets his engine going, the rest of them look like extras in his documentary.

He’ll begin his title charge on December 13th, taking on Ted Evetts — a battle between two former World Youth Champions whose careers have taken wildly different trajectories. Humphries will walk into Ally Pally not as the lad who dreamed of the big stage… but as a man who has conquered it, owned it, and returned to defend it with royal approval.

And somewhere in a drawer at home, Luke will probably open it three times before bed just to check it’s real, is the medal that says the country agrees. Luke Humphries, MBE. King once. Knighted by the public. Honoured by the Palace. And now he marches back to the palace of darting dreams… ready to prove the crown still fits.

It’s one of those pub arguments that refuses to die — the kind of debate that has ended friendships, launched podcasts and turned quiet evenings into volcanic rows. What is the hardest “perfect” moment in sport? A snooker 147? A golfing hole-in-one? Or the sacred unicorn of the oche — a nine-dart leg?

The Paddy Power Perfect Challenge, now in its second year of glorious chaos, was supposed to bring us closer to an answer. Instead, it added petrol to the fire and let the whole thing burn in spectacular style. And although a snooker cue eventually delivered the killer blow, it was the dartboard — and two men in particular — that stole the entire show.

MICHAEL VAN GERWEN: THE MARCH TOWARD PERFECTION

From the moment Michael van Gerwen stepped up, the atmosphere tightened. There’s something about the Dutchman’s rhythm — machine-gun scoring married with volcanic intent — that makes any nine-dart attempt feel like destiny forming in real time.

And sure enough, he carved out the first genuine match point of the whole day, wiring his way down to the holy grail shot: Double 18 for perfection. The room froze. Van Gerwen didn’t. His dart did. It shaved the wrong side of the wire, a fraction wide, a heartbreak at blistering speed. The challenge rumbled on. The argument deepened.

STEPHEN BUNTING: A MASTERCLASS IN AGONY

If MVG supplied the theatre, Stephen Bunting delivered the thesis. While Murphy and the golfers played their role, it was Bunting who gave the watching world its lesson in just how savagely difficult a perfect leg truly is.

The former Lakeside king spent the afternoon constructing nine-dart attempts with surgical precision… only for each one to collapse at the final, merciless moment. A 147 doesn’t fall apart on its last pot.

A hole-in-one doesn’t pop back out once you’ve hit the perfect strike. But a nine-darter, it can evaporate in a millimetre. Bunting showed us that agony again and again.

SHAUN MURPHY ENDS IT — AND ACCIDENTALLY STRENGTHENS DARTS’ CASE

Eventually, snooker’s high priest Shaun Murphy put an end to the chaos, piecing together a smooth, elegant 147 — the second straight year he’s done so in this challenge. Yet instead of proving snooker’s supremacy, even he admitted he might have punctured his own argument.

“I’m not sure that I’ve done snooker any favours by doing it and showing it can be done.”

He also summed up the afternoon’s tension in one telling reflection:

“Everyone involved in this challenge represents the best in their field… it’s been me this day but it could have been any of the guys doing it at any time. It’s been a frustrating day in some regards because there’s been so many near misses, we could have been out of here five hours ago.”

THE VERDICT: DARTS STANDS TALLER THAN EVER

If the Perfect Challenge aimed to settle the world’s most stubborn sporting argument… it failed beautifully. Instead, it magnified the razor-thin margins on the oche. It showcased the brutal reality that perfection in darts is a tightrope strung above a canyon, where the final step is the one most likely to betray you.

Snooker had its victory. Golf had its swagger. But darts had the drama, the jeopardy, the heartbreak, and the “almosts” that make perfection feel truly mythical. Once the dust settled, the view became clearer than ever: The toughest perfect moment in sport lives on the oche. Whereas the nine-darter remains the Everest of the entire debate.

—–ENDS—–

The Ally Pally circus is about to get even louder, even rowdier, and infinitely more spectacular — because Paddy Power have detonated a brand-new, never-before-seen charity stunt that blends big money, big darts, and even bigger stakes. And at the centre of it all? One unsuspecting member of the public, plucked from obscurity, will stroll onto the most iconic stage in world darts and attempt to fling their way into history… and into £180,000.

This outrageous opportunity is part of their turbocharged fundraising mission for Prostate Cancer UK as the bookmaker launches its most ambitious chapter yet: The Even Bigger 180 campaign. Their goal? Raise mountains of money, shatter previous records, and rally hundreds of thousands of men across the UK to take the lifesaving risk-checker — a vital tool in the fight against a disease that often whispers rather than shouts.

And the headline act of this philanthropic festival? A brand-new challenge known as Darts of Destiny, where one entrant — randomly selected from those donating via the JustGiving page — will wander onto the Ally Pally stage mere minutes before the World Championship final and take aim at life-changing riches.

If they can steady their trembling limbs, silence their thundering heartbeat, and total 180 from nine darts in front of thousands of roaring fans, they’ll exit the stage with a moneybag fatter than most of the pros they’ve just watched.

All of this madness builds on Paddy Power’s astonishing charity haul from the previous two tournaments. Over £2 million has already been funnelled into Prostate Cancer UK’s groundbreaking TRANSFORM trial — a colossal research project exploring new ways to detect prostate cancer early, when the odds of survival are dramatically improved.

And that’s just the beginning.

Paddy Power are also renewing their promise to donate £1,000 for every 180 blasted in the tournament — the very pledge that saw the total rocket past a million quid last year thanks to fireworks from the likes of Christian Kist and Damon Heta.

The legendary nine-dart bonus also returns: every perfect leg triggers a £180,000 payout split between the player, the charity, and one delirious fan in the crowd. Talk about motivation.

The Ballon d’Art trophy — the sport’s most gloriously ridiculous award — is also back, waiting to be claimed by the tournament’s ultimate maximum-slinger. Luke Littler holds last year’s crown with 76 maximums, though Luke Humphries will be out for revenge after his own 73-max campaign the year before.

Beyond the glitz and theatrics lies the real mission: getting men to take control of their own health. In the UK, prostate cancer takes a life every 45 minutes. The early stages almost never show symptoms. And yet a 30-second online check — just three simple questions — can tell men their risk.

Paddy Power, Sky Sports and Prostate Cancer UK want 180,000 men to do just that during this year’s championship, building on the astonishing quarter-million who have already taken the test since the campaign began. The money raised through The Even Bigger 180 will continue powering the TRANSFORM trial — the most ambitious prostate cancer screening initiative in 20 years.

Combining cutting-edge blood tests, genetics and rapid MRI scans, it aims to finally crack the code on early detection and build a national screening programme that will save thousands of lives.

Paddy Power said:

“Most people can only dream of hitting 180 at Ally Pally — but this year someone will get the chance to actually do it and walk away £180,000 richer, all for a truly brilliant cause. We hope Darts of Destiny will encourage more men to take the super-easy risk checker, as well as help continue to fund life-saving research for Prostate Cancer UK. This year’s Paddy Power World Darts Championship is going to be the biggest and best yet.”

Laura Kerby, Chief Executive of Prostate Cancer UK, said:

“We’re thrilled to be back on the oche with Paddy Power again this festive period as The Even Bigger 180 returns.

The last two years have changed the game for men, with more than £2m raised amid some high-octane darting drama – one 180 at a time. This campaign has had an incredible impact… Thanks to the incredible efforts of the PDC players, backed by Paddy Power, the funds raised will go towards supporting game-changing research like our TRANSFORM trial.”

Steve Smith, Executive Director of Content, Sky Sports, said:

“Sky’s platforms proved crucial in getting 180,000 men to check their risk… We look forward to widening the reach…”

Matt Porter, Professional Darts Corporation chief executive, said:

“Darts of Destiny is such a unique concept, and could make dreams come true for one lucky darts fan, but all with a great cause in mind to help encourage donations to such an important cause in Prostate Cancer UK’s TRANSFORM trial.”

—–Ends—–

Two groups of Wolverhampton schoolkids swapped textbooks for treble 20s this week, as the Grand Slam of Darts once again played host to a special Bullseye Maths takeover. The popular PDC numeracy project – run in partnership with Vanquis – is all about showing youngsters that numbers don’t have to be boring… especially when darts is involved.

This year’s Grand Slam offered pupils from two nearby primary schools the chance to try their hand at the sport and sharpen their mental arithmetic at WC Active Aldersley. And they weren’t just learning from worksheets – they were learning from the pros.

Northern Ireland World Cup winning captain Josh Rock spent the day with SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary Academy, while fellow Grand Slam competitor Connor Scutt teamed up with pupils from Northwood Park Primary School.

Rock, who was a walking advert for the value of quick sums under pressure, was instantly on board with the idea.

“I’ve really enjoyed it,” he said. “I use maths every day playing darts, and at a young age going through school it was the best thing for my maths.

“I believe for a lot of young kids that they can enjoy playing darts and also enjoy playing maths.

“My maths improved massively when I started throwing darts. At my school we never got anything like Bullseye Maths so it’s great to see the kids getting opportunities like this.”

The sessions were led by the JDC Education Team with support from the Wolves Foundation, giving the pupils a mix of games, challenges, and even a scored leg of darts with the professionals cheering them on.

Scutt – who openly admits he wasn’t exactly Pythagoras in his younger days – loved seeing the kids dive in.

“It was great to be part of the Bullseye Maths session and to see how the children got involved with the different darts activities,” said the 29-year-old.

“When I was young I found maths extremely difficult, but darts has really helped me and it’s always been a passion of mine. Darts helped me to pass my maths exam at school and it makes maths fun.

“Darts helped me with my simpler maths and I found I was able to do a lot of my adding up without a calculator. I enjoy maths and I hope we can help more children to do the same through Bullseye Maths.”

Teachers were just as impressed as the pros. Northwood Park’s Senior Lead and Maths Lead, Mrs Asghar, praised the programme’s impact both academically and emotionally.

“We were absolutely blown away by the dedication and commitment of Bullseye Maths team,” she said. “Not only did the children leave feeling an immense sense of pride in their ability to play darts, but their self-confidence in applying their number skills also improved.

“Overall, it was a unique workshop… Northwood Park Primary is very grateful for the opportunity and can not wait to attend future events!”

Year 5 pupil Ivy B may have summed it up best:

“I went to Bullseye Maths with my school, and at first, I was a little nervous but once we started playing darts, I was so happy!

“I had such a fun and exciting time… and we met Connor Scutt, a real professional!

“I really enjoyed my time at Bullseye Maths and didn’t expect it to be so much fun!”

With S4C, Vanquis, and the Wolves Foundation helping bolster its reach, Bullseye Maths continues to grow – and the initiative is proving once again that darts isn’t just entertainment… it’s education wrapped in flights and tungsten.

Major winners and record breakers usually steal the darting spotlight. They fill the headlines, command the fanfare, and make the highlight reels. But every so often, a story emerges that cuts deeper than averages and trophies – a story about courage, resilience, and sheer human willpower.

This week in Wigan, Jules van Dongen wrote that story. Known as The Dutch Dragon, van Dongen wasn’t returning to the PDC Pro Tour to chase records or prize money. He returned because he refuses to give up.

The 35-year-old American-Dutch player earned his Tour Card back in 2022 after finishing second on the European Q-School Order of Merit – a gruelling marathon of pressure, nerves, and endless tungsten warfare. Anyone who’s ever attempted Q-School will tell you that surviving it once takes guts. Losing that card and going back for another round takes something altogether different.

But this story isn’t about a ranking or a comeback through the system. It’s about a man facing down a cruel twist of fate that would have finished most careers. Van Dongen has been living with dystonia, a rare and incurable neurological disorder that causes involuntary muscle contractions. In darts, that’s a nightmare scenario.

The condition affects his throwing hand, particularly the muscles around his thumb, leaving him unable to release the dart properly. For him, throwing began to feel like wrestling with his own body.

“It feels like I have spaghetti in my hand,” he explained. “I can’t get a proper grip on the dart. My hand just does strange things-and I can’t control it.”

For a while, he tried to fight through it. But as the spasms worsened, it became clear that the problem wasn’t something practice could fix. The brain was simply misfiring. Darts, the sport that had defined him, was suddenly out of reach. Or so it seemed.

Then came the decision that stunned fans and fellow professionals alike. Jules van Dongen would switch to playing left-handed. It sounds simple in theory, but to an elite player it’s the equivalent of learning to write, throw, and think from scratch. Muscle memory, rhythm, timing – all gone. He had to start again, literally rebuilding from the ground up.

And that’s exactly what he’s done. Back from a break after the World Cup and World Series this summer, he wrote on X. “Unfortunately no cure for dystonia possible, so I have resumed left-handed training.”

This weekend, that training becomes reality. Van Dongen stepped back onto the Pro Tour stage, left-handed for the first time, knowing the averages might not flatter him, but the courage certainly will.

“I want to show my children that I’m a champion,” he said. “But the more I struggle, the more I realise I’m teaching them something else: perseverance. Never give up, never give up hope. I struggle to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it’s there – and I’m going to reach it.”

Sadly, Jules courage didn’t bring success. It takes skill to win titles, but it takes heart to stand up and start again when everything’s been taken away. So while the weekend headlines may belong to the winners, make no mistake – the bravest man this weekend in Wigan was Jules van Dongen.

Motor Neurone Disease Association has benefitted from an enhanced donation from BoyleSports who gave £10,000 to the Motor Neurone Disease Association afte boosting the total raised following a week of stellar darts at the BoyleSports World Grand Prix.

The leading bookmaker was the title sponsor for the famous double-start tournament, which was won on Sunday evening by Luke Littler at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester.

The sponsors had pledged a donation of £20 for every double 20 hit during the tournament and Littler’s winning dart in Sunday’s finale was fittingly the 404th time the ‘tops’ target had been hit across the week.

That meant a total of £8,080 had been raised as the world champion celebrated his first World Grand Prix title, defeating Luke Humphries 6-1 in the final. However, Boylesports announced afterwards it would boost the pot further, taking the total donation to £10,000.

Littler, who led the double 20 stats with a whopping 78 hit before he lifted the trophy, was asked to choose the beneficiary and opted for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Gill Blake-Swift, Director of Brand for BOYLE Sports, said: “What a fantastic effort from the players and we’re thrilled to see the darts community rally behind such an important cause. We are proud to support the Motor Neurone Disease Association with this £10,000 donation and we hope it helps advance the vital research and care they carry out for a cause close to so many hearts.”

Adam Perfect, PDC Head of Commercial, said: “This was a fantastic gesture by BOYLE Sports and we would like to thank them for their generosity. The Motor Neurone Disease Association is an incredibly deserving charity and this contribution, as chosen by Luke, will help make a difference to the outstanding work they do.”

The “Darts on Your Doorstep” campaign has nothing to do with someone carelessly leaving a set of sharply pointed arrows lying carelessly outside the front door of your home.

Thankfully, the PDC’s grassroots initiative isn’t about booby-trapping your garden path with tungsten missiles, but rather about sprucing up community darts facilities and giving local players a proper place to chuck. Feet like teabags avoided.

The latest stop on this wholesome tour of Britain’s social clubs was Enderby & District Social Club in Leicestershire, where Damon Heta – the Aussie nicknamed “The Heat” – popped in to officially open their shiny new darts setup. He now joins Luke Humphries, Chris Dobey, and Jonny Clayton on the list of big names to cut ribbons, smile for photos, and pretend they’re not dreading the first awkward double attempt against a local ringer.

With the World Grand Prix just a week away down the road in Leicester, Heta did the honours with a Q&A and a few legs against brave volunteers:

“It’s great to represent the PDC and Darts on Your Doorstep. It’s a grassroots sport and it’s good to see the investment that’s being made by Smart Energy GB and the PDC. Clubs like this are where so many players begin playing darts and it makes me appreciate where I am and how far I’ve come. It’s outstanding to see and it’s a massive scheme – it will create opportunities for so many players.”

The project is backed by Smart Energy GB, who’ve cleverly combined darts with their mission of selling us on smart meters. Since November 2024, almost 50 clubs across the UK have been fitted with fresh Winmau Blade 6 dartboards, while over a thousand attendees have sat through sessions on energy efficiency. Because nothing says “grassroots darts” like learning your fridge isn’t secretly bankrupting you.

At Enderby, members also got the full Smart Energy spiel. Phillippa Brown, Deputy Director of Specialist Audiences at Smart Energy GB, explained:

Darts On Your Doorsteps 29th Sept25

“Local darts clubs play an important role in communities all over the country. Projects like this, that provide improved facilities and equipment, are vital to make sure they are able to thrive and harness community spirit for years to come. It’s also really important to use these opportunities to help the people in those communities manage the high cost of living. We hope the information sessions will give people real, actionable advice to help them manage their finances, and see how a smart meter could help them to save a little money on their energy bills.”

And of course, no PDC initiative is complete without Matt Porter, Chief Executive, delivering his standard seal of approval: “Darts on Your Doorstep has been a big success since being launched last November, and it’s great to see clubs around the UK benefitting from the scheme. It’s wonderful to continue working with Smart Energy GB to promote the use of smart meters across Britain, as well as transforming the darts facilities of grassroots venues. Venues such as the Enderby & District Social Club are the hub of their community, and darts plays a huge role for so many of the club’s members.”

There’s even a Smart Energy GB Darts Challenge running alongside the scheme, where top-performing clubs throughout the year win a “money-can’t-buy” prize – a custom dart-fitting experience from Winmau. Not cash. Not free beer. But a dart-fitting. It’s the kind of reward that makes dart nerds swoon.

All told, the Enderby launch was classic PDC community outreach: polished boards, smiling faces, and one very affable Aussie showing that even World Cup winners remember where they came from.

——ENDS——
