1988 - Issue 184: Them Or Us - BDO Says Players Must Choose.

Foreshadowing events that would come to a head in the early 1990s the BDO excersised its dominance, over grassroots darts, in order to restrict the activities of another organisation.

The NDA was a fully recognised association, by the BDO, and the fact that they still effectively forced its event to cease speaks more that any opinion past or present.

Sadly this small story is a harbinger of doom for darts as more and more players, sponsors and other interested parties began to see the problems that lay ahead.
