1994 - Issue 262: Those Who Make The Game Run & Winmau Go Continental.

By DW Editorial Staff 25/07/2020

Despite the very difficult, and acrimonious situation, within darts administration, during the 1990s, many activities carried on as usual. Here our long time columnist Alan Towe pays tribute to Dennis Roberts who was about to reach 100 games in charge of Warwickshire.

Darts World has always considered the importance of those who are behind the scenes of our game. Officials, administrators, promoters, organisers, and many others play a huge role at all levels of darts and without them, the game would struggle. They are those who make the game run.

The darts industry was also developing at a pace during this period. Winmau joined up with a German agency in an effort to expand across the continent of Europe. That effort continues to this day as many manufacturers and other darts brands seek to crack the lucrative and populous markets across the globe.
