1995 - Issue 277: Masters Back On Live TV!

By DW Editorial Staff 27/07/2020

Cunning use of words here. Live TV was an organisation not a general term for TV coverage.

Part of the early wild west of cable/satellite TV. Thus the story here was that there would be any TV coverage even if it was pre-recorded. The efforts of the BDO, in 1995, to reassert itself as the games major promoter can clearly be seen within the pages of Darts World:

As we end 1995 it's still very much 'up in the air' as to who will win 'The Code Wars'.

Perhaps though a clue could be found in the fact that Live TV would bring us the 'News Bunny' as part of their short lived range of programming.
