Dimi helps Belgian team dream big

By Paul Woodage 03/09/2021

Belgian darting sensation, Dimitri Van den Bergh is doing his best to secure a promising future for the sport in his beloved nation.

As brand ambassador, Dimitri has offered to coach and fully finance Belgium’s young squad in this year’s JDC World Cup and Championships.

The DreamMaker will personally oversee three practice sessions ahead of the tournaments. In addition, he is generously covering the full entry costs, kit, travel and accommodation.

It’s an exciting time for the organisation as the Junior Darts Corporation with such a high profile weekend on the horizon.

At the end of November, Gibraltar will host a series of events featuring the finest young darting talents on the planet. Undoubtably, many of these youth internationals will go on to forge successful professional careers in the sport.

For now, they will arrive on ‘the rock’ in several weeks time to do battle on the oche over four exhilarating days.

The action kicks off on Tuesday 23rd November with the JDC Junior Team World Cup.

On the following two days, there is a Junior International Open and the MVG Masters Open Events.

Then on the final day, Friday 26th November we witness the JDC Junior World Darts Championships Finals.

Each participating nation will forward a coach/manager and four players. The estimated cost is set to be in the region of £3500-4000.

For Belgium, this will be generously donated by their own superstar, Van den Bergh. His hope is to unearth another special talent, emanating from the country he is proud to represent.
