George extends Winmau deal

By Editorial Staff 26/11/2021

Bobby George needs no introduction, the original King of Bling is still spreading his love for the game of darts all over the World and playing to a decent standard too. The long-time Darts World contributor shows no sign of stepping back.

One of darts most instantly recognisable personalities and TV presenters, Bobby has committed to staying with the Winmau team on a 3-year extension. Bobby first picked up a dart at 30 years of age and didn't take long to master the game, claiming two News of the World Titles with the first-ever televised 100 average.

Winmau celebrates the re-signing of Bobby with his latest set of darts, which he pioneered with Winmau’s engineers, creating the stunning arrows finished in a black and gold coating with his signature chandelier engravings, as a perfect representation of everything he wants from the game.

Bobby’s next steps see him take a lead at the Worlds Senior Darts Championships to be held in February 2022 as part of the key commentary team.

Catching up with Bobby, he said "I've known Winmau well over 50 years from the very start with Harry Kicks and they are a truly grassroots company working at the top level and not looking to slow down any time soon. Throughout my years in the darting world, Winmau has always been good to me, we have done loads of product releases together and every time we work together it is always a top laugh. I'm very much looking forward to working with them for another 3 years".

Simon Hall, Marketing Director, added "Bobby is an absolute legend on and off the oche and has helped grow the game of darts as much as anyone over the decades. His passion for the game and the equipment that is used has never changed and he's still brim-full of amazing ideas and adventures, and we're excited to see this next chapter in Bobby’s amazing Darts life".

Bobby's latest Darts have are available for sale from all good darts stockists.
