Like they have never been away. Bucks youth triumph

By Editorial Staff 25/10/2021

A sure sign that its been a long time without action when our U21 team was the old U18 team and pretty much the rest of team to take the oche recently was full of new faces. Apart from that, it was as if there was no break at all as Bucks Youth returned to winning ways against Middlesex youth and to put an even better gloss on it and make it a great way to christen our fantastic new venue was that all three age sections won.

Debuts are never easy and going on first doesn’t make it any easier Connor Taylor took the first leg and was unlucky to lose 3-1 (11.28), second debutant Alfie Beechey dug deep for his 3-2 (11.63) win, Josh Bean  showed his experience with a U18 POM performance 3-0(19.78) win. The fourth game had our third debutant Jai Carlton with a superb 3-1(18.95) win 4th debut was for Harry Beechey unlucky not to find his practice scoring losing 3-0(11.87). Overall 3-2 win for U18s.

Ladies started with Chardonnay Bowen losing 3-0(11.30) to Middlesex’s experienced senior county player Leah Nelson, the extra inches Chardonnay has grown over lockdown has certainly improved her darts and i know we will see some wins this season. 5th and final debutant saw Molly Taylor win in a hard-fought game 3-2(7.88).  Captain Alexandra Dorney played the final ladies winning 3-0(14.45) with a POM performance. U21 Ladies win 2-1.

Bucks youth 5-3 up going into the U21s. Matt Brackley on first was unlucky not to win losing 3-1(18.06). Leo Beechey putting in a steady performance with a 3-0(19.78) win. Bailey Martin  POM performance saw him win 3-0(20.30) with some clinical finishing getting the win for Bucks Youth. Older brother Jordan Martin played fourth winning 3-1(17.85) and last but not least saw Toby McLeod lose narrowly 3-1(17.33). U21s winning 3-2.

Final score:Bucks Youth 8 Middlesex Youth 5.
It's off travel to Suffolk next month looking for our second win in as many games. COYBY
