Live League: Beveridge leads as 'Phase 5' resumes

Darren Beveridge took the early lead on Monday in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after winning three of his five matches, as Phase 5 of the Online Darts Live League returned with Week 3 commencing.

Scotland’s Beveridge, who won a Challenge Tour Event back in August, won three of his five matches to take the early lead on Monday, after recording victories over Robert Owen, Robert Thornton and Kevin Painter, with his two defeats coming against Tony Martin and Jamie Clark.

Elsewhere, three players in Jamie Clark, Tony Martin and Robert Thornton all ended the day with 6 points each, but all three finished behind Beveridge on leg difference, with Clark finishing 2nd, Martin in 3rd and Thornton in 4th, as Robert Owen ended 5th on 4 points and Kevin Painter bottom on 2 points.

Online Darts Live League continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Beveridge leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
