Live League: Burness bolsters lead

KEVIN Burness took a step closer to securing a place in Saturday’s finale on Tuesday, after he won four of his five matches to take a 4-point gap in Group A, as Week 1 of Phase 6 at the Online Darts Live League continued. 

Former Tour Card Holder, Burness, who entered Tuesday’s play having picked up 6 points on the opening day, won four of his five matches, as he recorded victories over Brian Raman, Keelan Kay, Nick Fullwell and Mike Warburton, with his only defeat coming against Reece Colley. 

Elsewhere, Reece Colley ended the day with three wins from five, as he sits in 2nd place overall on 10 points, with Keelan Kay, Mike Warburton and Brian Raman all winning two matches from five, and all sit on 10 points each overall, but behind Colley on leg difference, as Nick Fullwell sits bottom on 6 points from two days of play. 

Online Darts Live League continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Burness leading the way thus far. Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups in Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray. Play will begin at 9:30 GMT on Wednesday and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
