Connor Scutt was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 2 at the Online Darts Live League, after defeating Scott Walters in the final and securing a place in Champions Week, with Chris Gilliland also advancing in winning the 3rd place playoff.
Scutt, who entered the finale having won Group B on Thursday and Friday, won just one of his group phase matches, in defeating Adam Smith-Neale, before losing to Chas Barstow, as he advanced to the Semi Finals. At that stage, he took on Chris Gilliland, and whitewashed the Northern Irish thrower 4-0, to book his place in the final and at a spot at Champions Week, no matter the outcome of the decider.
In the final, Scutt took on Scott Walters, and it was 135 checkout on tops that sealed the victory for Scutt with a 4-1 win to take the Week 2 crown of Phase 6 at the Online Darts Live League.
Elsewhere, beaten Semi Finalists Chris Gilliland and Chas Barstow competed in a 3rd place playoff to see who would join Scutt and Walters in Champions Week, and it was Gilliland who progressed with a 4-1 victory win over Barstow.
Online Darts Live League returns on Monday 22nd November with Week 3 commencing with the first of three days of Group A, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
