Graham Usher and Jim McEwan took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day 1 of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Jose Justicia in Saturday’s finale at the Online Darts Live League.
Usher, who’s featured regularly on the Live League in 2021, won four of his five matches to end Day 1 of Group C, top, after recording victories over Martin Heneghan, Robert Thornton, Andy Jenkins, and Jamie Durrant, with his only defeat coming against Robert Owen, who also ended the day on 8 points, but finished behind Usher on leg difference.
Elsewhere, Robert Thornton ended the day in 3rd on 6 points, with Andy Jenkins and Debutant Jamie Durrant finishing 4th and 5th respectively on 4 points each, as Martin Heneghan suffered five defeats from five to end the day bottom on 0 points.
In Group B, it was Jim McEwan who ended Day 1, victorious, after he completed a clean sweep with four wins from four, in recording victories over Martin Adams, Paul Hogan, Scott Williams and James Richardson, dropping just six legs on route.
Elsewhere, James Richardson ended the night in 2nd on 6 points, with three players in Scott Williams, Martin Adams and Paul Hogan all ending with one solitary win each, as Williams sits in 3rd with a higher leg difference between the trio.
Online Darts Live League continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Jose Justicia in Saturday’s finale, with Usher and McEwan taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 9:30am GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
