Brian Raman was victorious on Saturday in winning Week 1 of the Online Darts Live League and securing a place in Champions Week, after defeating Rob Collins in the decider, with Kevin Burness winning the 3rd place playoff to secure his qualification into Champions Week, as the first week of Phase 6 concluded.
Raman, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group C on Thursday and Friday, won just one of his group phase matches, in defeating Mike Warburton, before losing to Rob Collins. In the Semi Finals, Raman defeated Shaun Griffiths in a last leg decider, 4-3, to book his place in the final and an automatic spot in Champions Week, no matter what the outcome was in the decider.
In the final, Raman came up against Rob Collins for the 2nd time on the night, and the Belgian got his revenge by whitewashing him 4-0 to take the Week 1 crown of Phase 6 at the Online Darts Live League.
Elsewhere, beaten Semi Finalists Kevin Burness and Shaun Griffiths competed in a 3rd place playoff to see who would join Raman and Collins in Champions Week, and it was Burness who was victorious, in coming out as a 4-2 victor.
Online Darts Live League returns on Monday with Week 2 of Phase 6 commencing with the first of three days of Group A, with the field to be confirmed in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
