Live League: Tricole and Campbell lead 'super groups'

Thibault Tricole and Matt Campbell took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day 1 of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Nathan Rafferty in Saturday’s finale at the Online Darts Live League.

Tricole, who entered Thursday’s play having finished 5th in Group A earlier in the week, won four of his five matches to kick off Group C, in recording victories over Richard North, Diogo Portela, Scott Baker and Sebastian Steyer, with his only defeat coming against Dan Lauby. 

Elsewhere, Lauby ended the day in 2nd on 6 points, with the remaining four players all ending on 4 points each, with Richard North finishing 3rd with a higher leg difference than his 3 competitors. 

In Group B, it was Matt Campbell who was victorious, in completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, after recording victories over Cameron Menzies, Neil Duff, Lee Cocks and Jim Williams. 

Elsewhere, Jim Williams ended the night in 2nd on 6 points, Neil Duff in 3rd on 4 points, Cameron Menzies in 4th on 2 points, but it was disappointing evening for Lee Cocks, who failed to register a victory with four defeats from four, and winning just five legs across the night’s play. 

Online Darts Live League continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Nathan Rafferty in Saturday’s finale, with Tricole and Campbell taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 9:30am GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
