Colin Osborne secured his place in Saturday’s Finale on Wednesday, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as Group A came to a close, with the fields being confirmed for Groups B and C.
Osborne, who entered Wednesday’s play having picked up 18 points from the opening two days of play, completed a clean sweep for the second day in a row, in recording victories over Andy Jenkins, Scott Williams, Gareth Ashley, Johnny Haines and Josh McCarthy, to end his Group A campaign on 28 points from a possible 30.
Elsewhere, Andy Jenkins will compete in Group B, after he ended Wednesday’s daily table in 2nd on 8 points, as he finishes 3rd overall on 16 points, level with Scott Williams, who finishes 2nd overall on leg difference ahead of Jenkins, despite only winning two of his five matches on Wednesday. The duo will be joined in Group B by Stephen Burton, Mike Gillet and Colin Monk, who all make their returns to the Live League.
Despite an impressive opening two days, Johnny Haines narrowly missed out on a place in Group B, after finishing 4th overall on 14 points, after he won just one solitary match on Wednesday, and will compete in Group C, alongside Josh McCarthy and Gareth Ashley who ended 5th and 6th respectively overall, both on 8 points, with McCarthy ending with a higher leg difference. The trio will be joined in Group C by George Killington, Carl Hamilton and Ryan Furness.
Online Darts Live League continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 9:30pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
