Modus Live League: Adams in good shape

By Joe Williams 27/04/2021

MARTIN Adams edged past Niall Culleton on Monday, in finishing top of Group A on the first of three days, after winning four of his five matches as Week 7 of the Modus Online Live League commenced.

3x World Champion, Adams, who has regularly appeared in the Online Live League thus far in 2021, kicked off his week’s campaign by winning four of his five matches, in defeating Sean Fisher, Nathan Rafferty, Wes Newton and Reece Robinson, with his only defeat coming against Culleton in his final match of the day, with the Irish debutant denying ‘Wolfie’ the chance of a clean sweep. Culleton also ended the day with 8 points from 10, with his only defeat coming against Wes Newton, as he finished behind Adams on leg difference.

Elsewhere, Sean Fisher ended the day in 3rd on 6 points, Reece Robinson in 4th on 4 points, with Wes Newton and Nathan Rafferty finishing joint bottom with just one solitary win and the same leg difference of –10.

Modus Online Live League continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Adams and Culleton leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30 GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
