MODUS Live League: Barstow is latest champion!

By Joe Williams 20/09/2021

Chas Barstow was crowned the winner of Phase 4 at the Online Darts Live League on Saturday, after defeating Jarred Cole 4-3 in the final, to join Richie Burnett and Jim Williams in the roll of honour of Champions Week winners.

Barstow, who entered the finale on the back of winning Group B on Thursday and Friday, came through his group of three in defeating Robert Owen and Jarred Cole, both in 4-1 victories to reach the last four. At that stage, he came up against Rob Collins, and came out a 4-1 victor to book his place in the final against Cole.

The pair ended up meeting for the 2nd time on the night, as Cole raced into a 3-0 lead with Barstow needing to win four on the spin, without fail, to keep his title hopes alive. Incredibly, he did so in winning four on the spin to deny Cole to take the crown and pick up the £7,000 first prize to join Welsh duo Richie Burnett and Jim Williams in the roll of honour of Champions Week winners at the Online Darts Live League.

Online Darts Live League returns on Monday with the start of Phase 5 commencing with the first of three days of Group A, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
