MODUS Live League: Burness back on top

Kevin Burness took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with the fourth week of Phase 4 commencing at the Online Darts Live League. 

Former Tour Card Holder, Burness, who has been a regular fixture at the Online Darts Live League in 2021, won four of his five matches throughout Monday’s play, in recording victories over Alan Norris, Chris Gilliland, Conan Whitehead and John O’Shea, with his only defeat coming against Keelan Kay. 

Elsewhere, Chris Gilliland also ended the day with 8 points from 10, but finished behind Burness on leg difference. John O’Shea and Keelan Kay ended with 6 points each, with O’Shea finishing in 3rd with a higher leg difference. Alan Norris ended the day with just one solitary win, as Conan Whitehead suffered a winless run, with five defeats from five. 

Online Darts Live League continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Burness leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30 BST and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
