Niall Culleton, Gary Robson, Scott Marsh, James Richardson and Richie Burnett all booked their places in Saturday’s Finale on Friday at the Online Darts Live League, after coming through their respective groups to join Martin Adams, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Culleton, who entered Friday’s play having finished 4th on Thursday’s daily table, won four of his five matches as he finished top of Group C overall, after recording victories over Corrine Hammond, Daniel Day, Gary Robson and Stu Wilson, with his only defeat coming against Prakash Jiwa, who also won four of his five matches but narrowly missed out on a place in the finale on leg difference.
Gary Robson was the man who denied Jiwa a place in the finale after he won three of his five matches to end his campaign on 12 points with a leg difference of +6, compared to Jiwa’s +0. Elsewhere, Stu Wilson and Daniel Day finished 4th and 5th respectively overall on 10 points, and Corrine Hammond finished bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, it was Scott Marsh who was victorious in winning three of his four matches to top the group, after recording victories over Nick Fullwell, Robert Rickwood and Richie Burnett, with his only defeat coming in his final game against James Richardson, ending his 7-match unbeaten run.
Elsewhere, James Richardson also secured a place in the finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, in completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Friday evening, with Phase 3 winner Richie Burnett securing his place after finishing on 6 points overall.
Online Darts Live League continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 2 with the six players battling it out for the 3 spots up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 10:00pm GMT.
