MODUS Live League: Connor scuttles through

Connor Scutt secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches, as Group A came to a close, with the fields being confirmed for Groups B and C.

Scutt, who entered Wednesday’s play tied with Martin Thomas at the top of Group A on 14 points each, won four of his five matches to secure his place in the finale on Saturday, as he recorded victories over Richard North, Carl Wilkinson, Martin Thomas and Aaron Turner, with his only defeat coming against Mike Warburton.

Elsewhere, Mike Warburton also ended the day with four wins from five, as he will compete in Group B after finishing 3rd overall on 16 points, and will be joined by Martin Thomas, who narrowly missed out on a place in the finale after he finished 2nd overall on 20 points. The duo will be joined in Group B by Phase 3 winner Jim Williams, as well as Rob Collins and Matthew Dennant.

Richard North and Carl Wilkinson both ended their campaigns on 14 points each overall, as they will compete in Group C, with North winning three matches from five on Wednesday, with Wilkinson winning just one solitary match, as Aaron Turner suffered five defeats from five, as he finishes bottom overall on 4 points. The trio will be joined in Group C by three debutants in Tony Newell, Graham Usher and Darryl Pilgrim.

Online Darts Live League continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 9:30pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
