MODUS Live League: Five through to join Scutt

Graham Usher, Carl Wilkinson, Mike Warburton, Matthew Dennant and Rob Collins all booked their places in Saturday’s Finale on Friday at the Online Darts Live League, after coming through their respective groups to join Connor Scutt, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.

Usher, who entered Friday’s play tied joint 2nd on 6 points, ended top of Group C after winning four of his five matches, in recording victories over Richard North, Aaron Turner, Tony Newell and Carl Wilkinson, with his only defeat coming against Darryl Pilgrim, who also ended the day on 8 points but finished behind Usher on leg difference. 

Elsewhere, Carl Wilkinson also secured his place in Saturday’s finale, after winning three of his five matches to finish level with Usher on 14 points but behind on leg difference, with Darryl Pilgrim narrowly missing out, despite finishing on 14 points, but a lower leg difference. Tony Newell ended 4th overall on 10 points, Richard North in 5th on 8 points, and it was another disappointing day for Aaron Turner, who failed to register a victory with five defeats from five to end his Group C campaign, bottom on 0 points. 

In Group B, Mike Warburton topped the group in completing a clean sweep for a second day in a row in dropping just 4 legs in recording victories over Rob Collins, Jim Williams, Matthew Dennant and Martin Thomas, to make it eight victories from eight in Group B. 

Elsewhere, Matthew Dennant and Phase 3 winner Jim Williams also progressed in finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each overall, with Rob Collins and Martin Thomas also ending on 6 points, but both finished behind on leg difference. 

Online Darts Live League continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 1 with the six players battling it out for the 3 spots up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 10:00pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
