By Joe Williams 03/05/2021

Arron Monk edged past Ryan Hogarth and Scott Baker on Monday, in finishing top of Group A on the first of three days, after winning three of his five matches as Week 8 of the Modus Online Live League commenced.

Former World Youth Champion, Monk, who has previously competed in the Online Live League in 2021, won three of his five matches as he recorded wins over Wayne Warren, Andy Jenkins and Robert Owen, with his two defeats coming against Ryan Hogarth and Scott Baker, who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, also on 6 points but Monk edged it with a higher leg difference between the trio to take the crown.

Elsewhere, three players in Robert Owen, Andy Jenkins and Wayne Warren all ended with two wins from five, with Owen finishing in 4th with a higher leg difference between the trio, followed by Jenkins in 5th and Warren in 6th.

Modus Online Live League continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Monk, Hogarth and Baker leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30 GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
