Modus Live League: The Wizard leads as finals week gets underway

By Editorial Staff 21/06/2021

DARTS World's Colin Osborne is off to an excellent start in what has been dubbed Champions Week at the MODUS Live League. The final week of this phase of Online Darts Live League started earlier today with the winners of previous weeks and the best players from the past four weeks taking part.

The Wizard got off to a flying start defeating James Richardson 4-2 in pursuit of the top prize of £5000. After falling 0-3 down to Martin Adams he hit back to claim a 4-3 win, in a reminder of his never say die attitude. It was a similar story in game three where Colin, who contributes his 'Wizards Wizdom' to each issue of Darts World magazine, again came from behind to defeat Conan Whitehead 4-3.

Finals / Champions Week Schedule

During the early part of the week, Shaun McDonald, Joe Davis, Conan Whitehead, Martin Adams, and James Richardson join Colin in a group phase. The winner of this group passes to the final group this Saturday.

Players in positions two, three and four will form the Thursday and Friday evening group with Chas Barstow and Jamie Clark.

The bottom two of the is week's opening group will also play a role in a second group alongside Richie Burnett, Jarred Cole, Greg Ritchie and Scott Marsh. This will be the afternoon group on Thursday and Friday

Three players progress from the evening sessions and two, added to the overall winner of the early group, this will make the six-man final league.
