MODUS Live League: Thomas leads as Phase 5 opens

Martin Thomas took the early lead on Monday in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, as Phase 5 of the Online Darts Live League commenced.

 

Phase 4 ended last week, with Chas Barstow taking home the £7,000 first prize at the end of Champions Week and adding his name to the roll of honour, which includes Welsh duo Richie Burnett and Jim Williams, who won Phase 2 and 3 respectively.

 

Welshman Thomas took the early lead in Group A, after winning four of his five matches on Day 1, as he recorded victories over Carl Wilkinson, Connor Scutt, Aaron Turner and Mike Warburton, with his only defeat coming against Richard North. 

 

Elsewhere, Connor Scutt and Richard North ended the day with 6 points each, with Scutt finishing 2nd with a higher leg difference, as Carl Wilkinson and Mike Warburton ended with 4 points each and Online Darts Live League debutant, Aaron Turner ending bottom on 2 points. 

 

Online Darts Live League continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Thomas leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
