MODUS Live League: Wilson and Marsh head the pack

Stu Wilson and Scott Marsh took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day 1 of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Martin Adams in the Saturday’s finale at the Online Darts Live League.

Wilson, who entered Thursday’s play having finished 5th in Group A earlier in the week, won four of his five matches to take the early lead in Group C, in recording victories over Prakash Jiwa, Gary Robson, Daniel Day and Corrine Hammond, with his only defeat coming against Niall Culleton. 

Elsewhere, three players in Daniel Day, Gary Robson and Niall Culleton all ended the day with 6 points each, with Day finishing 2nd with a higher leg difference between the trio, as Prakash Jiwa ended 5th on 4 points and Corrine Hammond bottom on 0 points, after suffering five defeats from five.

In Group B, it was Scott Marsh who was victorious in completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, after recording victories over James Richardson, Richie Burnett, Robert Rickwood and Nick Fullwell, dropping just six legs on route. 

Elsewhere, James Richardson and Nick Fullwell both ended the night with 4 points each, with Richie Burnett and Robert Rickwood finishing 4th and 5th respectively on 2 points each. 

Online Darts Live League continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Martin Adams in Saturday’s finale, with Wilson and Marsh taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 9:30am BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
