As well as extending relations with some of their biggest clients, during summer 2020, Barry Hearn and Matt Porter have brought on board vehicle finance firm Moneybarn. They had this to say regarding the deal:
The PDC is delighted to announce a new partnership with Moneybarn vehicle finance.
Moneybarn has become an official partner of the Professional Darts Corporation covering the full annual calendar, following a successful partnership across the 2020 Premier League and 2019 Grand Slam of Darts events.
The PDC has become one of sport's major success stories of recent years, propelling darts to become the fastest-growing indoor sport in the UK over the past decade, with stars such as Gerwyn Price, Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen helping to pack out arenas across the world and propel events into millions of homes via television coverage.
Tim Schwarz, Head of Marketing and Product Development at Moneybarn, said: "We're thrilled to be partnering with the PDC and supporting a sport that means so much to millions of fans across the UK.
"Darts brings people together by being an inclusive sport and makes everyday people superstars.
"After a fantastic World Championship, I can't wait to see what 2021 will bring. I get excited every time I see the Moneybarn name on the stage next to these amazing players."
As part of the sponsorship agreement, Moneybarn will enjoy branding rights at many televised tournaments, a range of assets across the PDC’s digital channels, an allocation of tickets, and unique content creation opportunities with leading players.
PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter said: "It's great to have Moneybarn on board as an official partner of the PDC.
"This is a natural expansion of our relationship given their previous partnerships across specific tournaments, and we look forward to working with them for many years ahead to further develop the Moneybarn brand."
Established in 1992, Moneybarn is the UK's leading lender of vehicle finance for the non-prime market. As part of the Provident Financial Group they have a firm focus on lending responsibly and providing finance to thousands of people each month to better their lives on the road.
They understand that a reliable car, van or motorbike is more than just a vehicle and they have a passion for getting their customers where they want to be. It’s this approach that has won them multiple awards. They were recently awarded 'Non-Prime Lender of the Year' at the Motor Finance Europe Awards 2020, Feefo's Platinum Trusted Service Award 2020 and 'Best Brand' at the Lending Awards 2020.
Darts World extends its congratulations to both parties.
