Target join Jennings Bet as World Senior Darts partner

By Editorial Staff 31/08/2021

World Senior Darts took another leap forward over the past few days. The announcement of Jennings Bet as tournament sponsors, the solidification of the inaugural field (owing to withdrawals and the sad loss of Andy Fordham), and today's announcement that Target will be the official board sponsors, sees the whole package begin to take shape.

World Seniors Darts announced:

WC2022 Announcement.
"Seniors Darts are pleased to confirm that TargetDarts will be the official board sponsor for the inaugural 2022 World Seniors Darts Championship. Joining Jenning Bet to be fully supportive of this unique event."

From 3 to 6 February 2022, the inaugural  World Seniors Darts Championship will be held at the iconic Circus Tavern. 22 of the 24 participants are secured and there will be two 'amateur' qualifiers decided at events in November.

The 22 includes 16-time world champion Phil Taylor and former world champions such as Keith Deller, Martin Adams, Ted Hankey, Richie Burnett and John Part. Alan Warriner-Little and Deta Hedman were recently added to the line-up.

Hedman was the first reserve in any case of a withdrawal and Tony David was the player to make way. While the passing of the legendary Andy Fordham meant the Iceman was called up.
