The future of darts has never looked brighter with so many talented young players emerging rapidly and bursting onto the scene.
A great deal of credit must go to PDC player, Steve Brown, chairman of the Junior Darts Corporation (JDC). An organisation that now boasts fifty academies across the globe, all focussed on giving thousands of children a wonderful environment and opportunity to nurture their abilities.
One of those stars shining through at the moment is none other than Steve’s son John, who recently acquired his two-year PDC tour card. Within weeks of earning his stripes, Brown Jnr capped a highly successful start to his professional career by reaching the fourth round of the UK Open on his television tournament debut.
The Brown’s are also becoming social media sensations as their “Darts Family” videos are getting rave reviews. Tracking the adventures of father and son as they navigate their way along the PDC highway, their regular updates are quickly becoming a fan’s favourite.

But then someone offered to pay for my entrance fee so decided to give it a shot. I didn’t even pack any of my darts so borrowed a set of his.
“John was bitterly disappointed last year but he really put the work in since then and it was fantastic to see him finally achieve his dream in January.
“As parents, myself and my wife are extremely proud of John. Naturally, we will give him all the love, support, and encouragement he needs to succeed. As for me, well I have a big year ahead........For the full article and all your other favourites get your copy of Darts World Magazine 574 today!
