COLIN Osborne looks certain of securing a place in Saturday’s finale, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five on Tuesday, and taking a six-point gap at the top of the table, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.
Osborne, who entered Tuesday’s play level with Johnny Haines on 8 points but ahead on leg difference, took a step closer to securing his place in the finale, after winning five matches from five, in recording victories over Josh McCarthy, Gareth Ashley, Scott Williams, Johnny Haines and Andy Jenkins, dropping just nine legs on route, as he sits on 18 points from a possible 20 from the two days of play.
Elsewhere, Scott Williams won three of his five matches for the second day in a row, as he sits on 12 points overall, level with Johnny Haines, who only won two of his five matches and sits behind Williams on leg difference. Andy Jenkins and Josh McCarthy both also won two of their five matches on Tuesday, with Jenkins sitting 4th overall on 8 points, and McCarthy bottom on 4 points, after he failed to register a victory during Monday’s play, with Gareth Ashley sitting 5th overall on 6 points, after he won just one solitary match.
Online Darts Live League continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Osborne leading the way thus far. Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups in Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray. Play will begin at 9:30 GMT on Wednesday and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
