The youngster who was part of Scotland’s winning JDC World Cup team, included a 10-dart leg en route to winning the opening Foundation Tour, defeating Jack Howarth 5-4 in the Final. 

The Renfrew born rising star crucially broke in the Final leg of the Event 1 Grand Finale, hitting the bullseye to complete a 90 check out in the last leg decider. Both players can hold their heads high after both averaging over 80 over 9 legs played, with Lawrie edging the scores at 82.34. 

Mitchell hit a 92.02 average in his best performance of the weekend, beating Kaylub Slack 3-0 in the Last 32 of Event 1. 

Lawrie was pushed all the way in the second Final on a busy opening Saturday, racing into a 4-1 lead against Irish international James Morris. 

Morris showed real fighting spirit to win three legs on the spin and force a last leg decider, including legs in 19 and 20 darts.

The Scotsman completed a perfect opening day after checking out 60 in two darts to go unbeaten having won all 15 of his matches. The youngster also showed great character to claim last leg deciders in both Final’s. 

The only player to defeat Mitchell Lawrie in Coventry this weekend was Tyler Rawlings, who despite averaging lower than last year’s JDC World Cup Gold Medallist, claimed a 3-1 victory in the 2^nd Round of Event 3.

17-year-old Irish international Sean McKeown won the opening event on Sunday, beating Robbie Hayden 5-1 in the Final to secure 2^nd place in the Foundation Tour Rankings so far. Sean’s best performance came in the Quarter Finals against Alfie Lloyd having averaged 82.03 in a 3-1 win. 

Mitchell Lawrie returned to confirm an opening Foundation Tour hat-trick in Event 4, beating Welsh youngster Joseph Flenley 5-2 in the Final hitting 2 180s. 

Recent Team 360 recruit Cori Wiltshire included runs to 2 Semi Finals in Coventry, losing to eventual Foundation Tour Event 3 winner Sean McKeown 4-3 in the Last 4.

The youngster can take a great amount of confidence from the opening weekend of 2024, averaging more than James Morris despite a 4-2 defeat in the Semi Finals of Event 2. 

Cori also hit an 86.71 average in defeating Irish youngster Stevie Tuohy 3-0 in the 2^nd Round of Foundation Tour Event 4.  

The Winmau Team 360 player sits 7^th in the rankings with 10 points, level with Kaleb Gascoyne and Robbie Hayden who are both ahead currently on legs difference. 

The weekend’s standout star Mitchell Lawrie leads the way with 18 points, 4 clear of Sean McKeown in 2^nd after the opening four competitions. 

The JDC Advanced Tour and the JD Girls Series 2024 will start on the 9^th and 10^{th of} March. PDC Tour Card holders Luke Littler and Leighton Bennett both played on the Advanced Tour in 2023. 

The Foundation Tour will return next month, with Events 5-8 set to take place in Scotland on the 16^th and 17^{th of} March.
