Jim McEwan, Lisa Ashton, Chris Gilliland, Colin Osborne and Lee Evans all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Online Darts Live League, to join Matthew Dennant, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
McEwan, who entered Friday’s play on 4 points from the opening day of Group C, completed a clean sweep as he topped the group overall, by recording victories over Kurt Parry, Lisa Ashton, Jamie Durrant, Rob Collins and Robert Thornton, dropping just five legs on route to finish on 14 points overall.
Elsewhere, Lisa Ashton also secured her qualification into Saturday’s finale, after winning four of her five matches to finish on 14 points overall, but behind McEwan on leg difference. Robert Thornton narrowly missed out in finishing 3rd overall on 12 points, with Kurt Parry finishing 4th on 10 points, Rob Collins in 5th on 8 points and Jamie Durrant bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, it was Chris Gilliland who topped the table overall, after winning three of his four matches on Friday evening, in recording victories over Jamie Kelling, Josh Richardson and Lee Evans, with his only defeat coming against Colin Osborne, as he finishes on 14 points from a possible 16.
Colin Osborne and Lee Evans also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Osborne ending on 12 points and Evans on 10, as Josh Richardson finished 4th on 4 points and Jamie Kelling bottom on 0 points, having suffered eight straight defeats.
Online Darts Live League continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 4 with the six players battling it out for the 3 spots up for grabs for a place in Champions Week, with play commencing from 10:00pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
