Justin Smith and Paul Hogan took the early lead in their respective groups on Thursday as they ended the day top, as they look to join Matthew Edgar in Saturday’s finale at the Online Darts Live League.
Smith kicked off Group C by completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories over Jarred Cole, Jelle Klaasen, Aaron Beeney, Kurt Parry and Gary Blades, dropping just eight legs along the way.
Elsewhere, Jarred Cole ended the day in 2nd on 8 points, Jelle Klaasen in 3rd on 6 points, with three players in Gary Blades, Aaron Beeney and Kurt Parry all sat on 2 points each.
In Group B, it was Paul Hogan who took the early lead, as he won three of his four matches, in recording victories over Toni Alcinas, Conor Heneghan and James Richardson, with his only defeat coming against Dan Read, who also ended the night on 6 points, but sits behind Hogan on leg difference.
Elsewhere, Conor Heneghan sits in 3rd on 4 points, with James Richardson and Toni Alcinas sitting 4th and 5th respectively on 2 points each.
Online Darts Live League continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Matthew Edgar in Saturday’s finale, with Smith and Hogan taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 9:30am GMT and Group B will commence from 9:30pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
