Arron Monk, Adam Smith-Neale, Scott Baker, Matthew Dennant and Richard North all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday, in coming through their respective groups at the Online Darts Live League, to join Kevin Painter, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Monk, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, won just two of his five matches as he secured his place in Saturday’s finale, by recording victories over Adam Smith-Neale and Mikuru Suzuki, with defeats coming against Carl Wilkinson, Ryan Furness and Chris Quantock, to end on 12 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Adam Smith-Neale also secured qualification into Saturday’s finale, by finishing on 12 points overall, but behind Monk on leg difference, with Ryan Furness narrowly missing out by finishing 3rd on 10 points. Chris Quantock ended his week’s campaign in 4th on 10 points, with Carl Wilkinson also ending on 10 points, but finished behind on leg difference, as Mikuru Suzuki finished bottom on 6 points.
In Group B, it was Scott Baker who topped the group overall, after winning two of his four matches on Friday evening, by recording victories over Darryl Pilgrim and Richard North, with defeats coming against Matthew Dennant and Rob Collins, as he finished on 12 points from a possible 16 heading into Saturday’s finale.
Matthew Dennant and Richard North also secured qualification, after they finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Dennant ending on 10 points and North on 8 points, as Rob Collins and Darryl Pilgrim missed out by finishing 4th and 5th respectively overall.
Online Darts Live League continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 3 with the six players battling, it out for the 3 spots up for grabs for a place in Champions Week, with play commencing from 10:00pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
