Graham Usher and Chas Barstow took the early lead on Thursday in finishing top of their respective groups with new players entering the fray, looking to join Kai Fan Leung in Saturday’s finale at the Online Darts Live League.
Usher, who competed in the opening phase at the Live League in 2022, returned by taking the early lead in Group C, after winning four of his five matches, in recording victories over Richard North, Arron Monk, Justin Smith and David Wawrzewski, with his only defeat coming against Colin Osborne.
Elsewhere, David Wawrzewski also ended the day on 8 points and the same leg difference as Usher with +6. Arron Monk sits in 3rd on 6 points, Colin Osborne in 4th on 4 points, with Justin Smith and Richard North sitting 5th and 6th respectively on 2 points each.
In Group B, Chas Barstow took the early lead, as he won three of his four matches, in recording victories over Rob Collins, Scott Walters and Lee Cocks, with his only defeat coming against Robert Owen in the opening game of the evening.
Elsewhere, Scott Walters also ended the night on 6 points, but sits behind Barstow on leg difference, with Rob Collins and Robert Owen sitting 3rd and 4th respectively on 4 points, as Lee Cocks sits bottom on 0 points having suffered four defeats from four.
Online Darts Live League continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Kai Fan Leung in Saturday’s finale, with Usher and Barstow taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 9:30am BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
