THE World Seniors Darts Championship is returning to the Circus Tavern, Purfleet between 9-12 of February 2023.
Following the success of the inaugural World Championship in February of this year, and this weekend’s World Seniors Masters, WSDT were keen to strike while the iron was hot with their announcement of the 2023 event.
Reigning champion Robert Thornton will be back to defend his title, with invites already having been sent to 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor and fellow former World Champions John Part, Keith Deller, Martin Adams, Lisa Ashton, and Trina Gulliver.
Darts World would like to see all active world Champions again offered the chance to appear. The mix of eras as well as the competitive instincts of such players adds a valued ingredient to the World Seniors mix.
Following his victory at the Lakeside in the inaugural JenningsBet World Seniors Masters, David Cameron has also received an invite to the field.
The next World Seniors Darts event will be the inaugural JenningsBet World Seniors Darts Matchplay, which will take place on 1-3 July at The Bonus Arena in Hull.
