Carlin Claims Crown

Red Dragon Darts

Gavin Carlin was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week 10 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Josh Payne in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 1st prize.

Carlin, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, won both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Thibault Tricole and Lukas Wenig to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Scott Baker, and came out a 4-2 victor to book his place in the final.

In the final, Carlin took on Josh Payne, who’d defeated Thibault Tricole in the previous round, and the Northern Irishman came from behind to defeat his fellow Former Tour Card Holder, 4-3, to take the title, securing his place in Champions Week and picking up the £5,000 weekly 1st prize.
