Owen Books His Finale Spot

Robert Owen secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning all five of his matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Owen, who entered Tuesday’s play on 16 points from the opening two days of Group A, completed a clean sweep with five wins from five to top the group overall, as he recorded victories over Shane McGuirk, James Hurrell, Michael Huntley, Kevin Garcia and Jim McEwan, to end on 26 points from a possible 30.

Elsewhere, James Hurrell and Jim McEwan will compete in Group B, after the duo finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively, with Hurrell ending on 18 points and McEwan on 16 points. The duo will be joined by Scott Walters, Richard North and Pete Burgoyne.

Shane McGuirk, Kevin Garcia and Michael Huntley will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively, with McGuirk and Garcia ending on 12 points each and Huntley on 6 points. The trio will be joined by Martin Thomas, Reece Colley and Mark Graham.

Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
