Richard North and Niall Culleton took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day 1 of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Lee Budgen in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
North, who entered Group C having finished 4th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead by completing a clean sweep, with five wins from five, as he recorded victories over Jarred Cole, Josh McCarthy, Danny Smith, Reece Colley and Mark Graham.
Elsewhere, three players in Reece Colley, Jarred Cole and Josh McCarthy ended the day 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, whilst Mark Graham ended in 5th on 2 points and Danny Smith bottom on 0 points, having suffered five defeats from five.
In Group B, Niall Culleton took the early lead, with the Irishman completing a clean sweep, with four wins from four, as he recorded victories over Ryan Palmer, Shaun Griffiths, John Henderson and Fallon Sherrock.
Elsewhere, Shaun Griffiths ended the night in 2nd on 6 points, whilst the remaining three players in John Henderson, Ryan Palmer and Fallon Sherrock ended 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 2 points each.
Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Lee Budgen in Saturday’s finale, with North and Culleton taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 9:30am GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
