Jon Worsley maintained his position at the top of the table on Tuesday, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five on Day 2 and looks set to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.
Worsley, who entered Tuesday’s play on 10 points from the opening day of Group A, won all five of his matches once again, as he recorded victories over Shane McGuirk, Andy Hamilton, Steve Brown, David Evans and Alec Small, to sit on an incredible 20 points from 20 thus far and needs just one single victory on Wednesday to secure his place through to Saturday’s finale.
Elsewhere, Andy Hamilton is the closest competitor to Worsley, with ‘The Hammer’ sitting in 2nd on 12 points, whilst Steve Brown and Shane McGuirk sit 3rd and 4th respectively on 10 points each, with Alec Small and David Evans sitting 5th and 6th on 4 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Worsley leading the way thus far. Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups in Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT on Wednesday and will be streamed live on The Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
