Chris Landman took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as Week 11 of Stage Three commenced at the Modus Super Series.
Landman, who entered Week 11 on the back of reaching his first PDC Pro Tour final last weekend, won five matches from five, as he recorded victories against Kevin Painter, Ryan De Vreede, Arjan Konterman, Cam Crabtree and Franz Roetzsch, dropping just four legs along the way.
Elsewhere, Kevin Painter and Arjan Konterman ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, with Cam Crabtree sitting in 4th on 4 points, whilst Ryan De Vreede and Franz Roetzsch sit 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
Former World Finalist, and PDC major winner, Painter began his day strongly as he looks to sharpen his form the remaining Seniors events of the year. With two whitewash wins, and another only droppign one leg, and only going down 2-4 to both Landman and Crabtree The Artist should be pleased with his day’s work
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Landman leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
