Tommy Morris, who has stepped into cover for withdrawals, moved top of Group A in Week 5 of Stage 4 in the MODUS Super Series.
Morris lost just 1 match at the Live Lounge on Day 1. ADC Qualifier Daniel Lee trails the leader by 2 points, level on 6pts with Dutch international Patrick Maat.
The Gun’s only defeat came against Maat, but strongly impressed in the final match of the day as he whitewashed 4-time Ladies World Champion Lisa Ashton with a 96.97 average.
Englishman Morris opened his account by winning 8 straight legs without reply, including a 100.20 average in whitewashing Michel van der Horst during his 2nd match, checking out at 66%.
Midlands Vault Series 1 winner Lee also won 8 legs without reply, impressing on his debut at the Live Lounge. The Game whitewashed WDF World Championship Finalist Thibault Tricole in his second match of the day, following on from a 4-2 victory over Lisa Ashton.
The Lancashire Rose included a 170 checkout in beating Michel van der Horst 4-3, winning 2 matches after the opening day in Portsmouth.
