Interviews:
Darts World were delighted to talk to both Daryl Gurney and Robyn Byrne for the latest DWE. Robyn has been making rapid progress in the Womens Series overcoming the final hurdle and claiming an event this season. We catch up with her as the qualifiers prepare for the Womens World Matchplay. We also caught with Superchin himself to look into what seems to be a resurgence and a recovery of motivation in recent months.
World Cup Cover Stories:
Wales wonderful triumph in the recent World Cup of darts not only reminded us of their recent capture of the crown. It also stirred memories of the original World Cup back in the last 1970s. Luckily, not only was DW regular happy to review the June event, our new contributor R J Mingay was keen to remind us the the history of the WDF tournament as another due in Denmark later in 2023.
Womens Game Extra:
In addition to our regular ‘On Tour’ round up of the most recent Womens Series we also look closely at the field and the initial draw for the Betfred Women’s World Matchplay which is much changed from the inaugural eight this time last year. Lastly, in the section, we acknowledge the MBE awarded to Fallon Sherrock.
UKDA Supplement:
A regular feature of DWE is a round up of recent full UKDA match results as well as Alan Towe’s take on the current situation. Selected match reports and league tables are also included (fuller versions are also available here). The time the mighty Dorset’s era ending promotion is the highlight.
Fun Features:
Our Talking Points and Bullseyes and Bounceouts pieces take lighter looks at the fortunes of those within the game or issues that are bubbling away.
Columns:
We like to mix and match our columns and give folk a break every now and then. So this time it’s Colin Osborne’s Wizarding Wizdom, John Fowler’s Mic Drop and Thomas Bartley’s Media Matters that feature.

With the darts world in almost constant action we try to bring you regular summaries, whether they be of events held in one venue like the MODUS Super Series or Tours such as the WDF’s operation.
