Harry Ward, James Richardson, Luke Littler, Chris Gilliland and Jordan Brooks all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday.
The five came through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Andy Baetens, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Ward, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, won just two of his five matches to top the group overall, as he recorded victories against Leonard Gates and Geert De Vos, with his three defeats on the day coming against Lee Cocks, Matt Clark and James Richardson, to end on 12 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Richardson also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, finishing behind Ward on leg difference, whilst three players in Clark, Cocks and Gates finished 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 10 points each, with De Vos finishing bottom on 6 points.
In Group B, Luke Littler topped the group overall, after winning three of his four matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Ciaran Teehan, Chris Gilliland and Jordan Brooks, with his only defeat coming against David Cameron, to end on 14 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Chris Gilliland and Jordan Brooks also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Gilliland ending on 10 points and Brooks on 6 points, edging past David Cameron in 4th on leg difference, whilst Ciaran Teehan finished bottom on 4 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Eight with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST.
