Davies Makes Super Start

David Davies took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with the ninth week of Stage Four commencing at the Modus Super Series.

Davies, who made his Super Series debut earlier in the year, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning four of his five matches and recording victories against Jelle Klaasen, Robin Beger, Andy Jenkins and Johan Van Velzen, with his only defeat coming against Chris Landman.

Elsewhere, Landman and Van Velzen ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Klaasen and Jenkins sit 4th and 5th on 4 points each, with debutant Beger sitting bottom on 2 points.

Former World Championship Semi-finalist Jenkins was stepping to cover for a late withdrawal and yet started with an excellent 4-1 and ended his day with a last leg victory over Klaasen.

The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Davies leading the way thus far.

Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
