Sherrock and Crabtree Take Early Leads

Cam Crabtree and Fallon Sherrock took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Chris Landman in the Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.

Crabtree, who’s had an impressive 2023 campaign thus far, made his return to the Super Series by taking the early lead in Group C, after winning four of his five matches and recording victories against Robin Beger, Adam Atkinson, Johan Van Velzen and Stu Wilson, with his only defeat coming against Jelle Klaasen.

Elsewhere, Klaasen also ended the day on 8 points, but sits behind Crabtree on leg difference, whilst three players in Van Velzen, Wilson and Atkinson sit 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th respectively on 4 points each, with Beger sitting bottom on 2 points.

In Group B, Fallon Sherrock took the early lead, after winning three of her four matches, as she recorded victories against Andy Jenkins, Pete Burgoyne and David Davies, with her only defeat coming against Lukas Wenig.

Elsewhere, Wenig also ended the night on 6 points, but sits behind Sherrock on leg difference, whilst Jenkins and Davies sit 3^rd and 4^th respectively on 4 points each, but it was a disappointing Super Series return for Pete Burgoyne, who failed to register a victory, with four defeats from four.

Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Chris Landman in Saturday’s finale, with Crabtree and Sherrock taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
