Wayne Jones the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week One of Stage Five commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Former Tour Card Holder and European Championship finalist, Jones, made an excellent start to his debut week at the Super Series, with the 58-year-old veteran winning four matches from five on the opening day.
The Wanderer recorded victories against Mike Warburton, Matt Clark, Patrick Maat and Ryan De Vreede, with his only defeat coming against Tommy Morris.
Elsewhere, Matt Clark also ended the day on 8 points, but sits behind Jones on leg difference, whilst Tommy Morris sits in 3rd on 6 points, Mike Warburton in 4th on 4 points, with Ryan De Vreede and Patrick Maat sitting 5th and 6th respectively on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Jones leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’s websites worldwide.
