Spell Casting Alex Through With Second Clean Sweep

Alex Spellman secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Spellman, who entered Wednesday’s play on 18 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall, after winning all five of his matches for the second time in three days, as he recorded victories against James Richardson, Jarred Cole, Bradly Roes, Neil Duff and Christopher Toonders.

The North American breakout star ended on 28 points from a possible 30. 

Elsewhere, Neil Duff and Jarred Cole will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively on 16 points each and will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Richie Howson, John Brown and Chris Quantock. 

Bradly Roes, Christopher Toonders and James Richardson will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Roes ending on 14 points, Toonders on 12 points and Richardson on 4 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Jon Worsley, Josh Richardson and Tom Sykes. 

Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST.

Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
