Jarred Cole and Tom Sykes took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Alex Spellman in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
In Group B, Jarred Cole took the early lead, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories against Chris Quantock, John Brown, Neil Duff and Richie Howson.
Elsewhere, Neil Duff and Chris Quantock ended the night joint 2nd on 4 points each, whilst Richie Howson and John Brown sit 4th and 5th respectively on 2 points each heading into the second and final night of Group B.
Sykes, who entered the Super Series for the first time in his career as an ADC Qualifier, took the early lead in Group C on debut, after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Christopher Toonders, James Richardson, Josh Richardson and Jon Worsley, with his only defeat coming against Bradly Roes.
Elsewhere, Jon Worsley also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Sykes on leg difference, whilst Bradly Roes and Josh Richardson sit 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, with Christopher Toonders sitting in 5th on 2 points, but it was a disappointing day for James Richardson, who failed to register a victory, having suffered five defeats from five.
Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Alex Spellman in Saturday’s finale, with Sykes and Cole taking the early lead thus far.
Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
