Birmingham Leagues Getting Busy

Red Dragon Darts

After game thirteen in the Harborne and District League the league table remained as it was prior to the fixtures being played.

There were some big results with Northfield Conservative Club and Copper Fox ‘R’ handing out respective 9-0 whitewashes to their opponents Weoley Castle WMC and Avenue Social while Copper Fox ‘M’ and Smethwick Cricket Club were not far behind with their 8-1 wins in turn over The Mill and Quinton RBL.

Northfield Conservative Club remain in pole position holding on to their two points lead over second placed Smethwick Cricket Club who in turn have a two points advantage over third and fourth placed Copper Fox ‘M’ and Northfield Town, Northfield Town winning their home tie with Cock Inn 5-4.

In addition to the big team scores there were also big individual scores with five players all hitting a maximum, M.Bolton (Weoley Castle WMC), D.Hill (Northfield Conservative Club), A.Hykin (Copper Fox ‘R’), A.Harvey (Copper Fox ‘M’) and P.Brookes (Smethwick Cricket Club). A.Faulkner (Northfield Town) scored 171.

Third placed Bourneville, like Northfield only have two more games to play but they trail the top two by some six points, however they have a game in hand on fourth placed Rubery Social Club plus a two points lead after Rubery’s close 4-3 win at Grant Arms.

Only the one hotshot this week finding the three treble twenties and that was Rubery Social Club’s J.O’Neill.
