Stuart Kellett was amongst the latest winners in the Amateur Darts Circuit Vault Series, winning the Northwest 4.0 Finals Day to secure a spot representing the ADC at the MODUS Super Series. KO was one of eleven players to secure trips to Portsmouth through the Vault, with the likes of Leighton Bennett and Niall Culleton also qualifying for the Live Lounge.
The Cheshire born player opened his campaign at Finals Day, coming in as the Number 9 Seed after his efforts in the 7 weeks of Round Robin competitions prior. The Englishman included a 148 finish to take the first leg of his opening match with Seann Johnson, before a 12 dart hold of throw to hold in the 5th leg.
Stuart wrapped up a 6-2 victory against Johnson at the Trades Hill Social Club in Workington, before beating 8th Seed Daz Paterson to secure a place in the Quarter Finals. The 42-year-old included the only 180 in his 6-3 Quarter Final success over Tommy Richardson, who despite defeat included a 102 finish to break throw in the 5th leg.
Kellett included a 98 checkout to break throw in the 2nd leg of his 6-3 Semi Final win over 5th Seed Tex Houghton to set up a clash with 2nd Seed Petros Christodoulou, who included a first 9 dart average of 97.67 in beating Mick Oversby 6-2 in the Semi Finals.
Both players broke in the opening four legs of the Final, before a fantastic 4 leg KO surge from the former World Masters Finalist secured his status as the Northwest Vault 4.0 Series champion, as he looks ahead to competing live on YouTube and TV in the MODUS Super Series.
Leighton Bennett, Sean McKinley, Michael Burgoine, Martin Grearson, James Hutwaite, Jack Male, Niall Culleton, Adrian Gray, Greg Ritchie, and Shane Hayward were the other 10 players to secure places at the Super Series as Vault 4.0 Regional Champions.
Boom Boom included a first 9 dart average of 102.27 and a 120 finish, in his 6-4 Final victory over Jacob Gwynne whilst Michael Burgoine secured his place through the East of England region, winning a last leg decider against Number 1 Seed Liam Saxon in the Final to claim a 6-5 victory.
Congratulations to all 11 ADC Vault 4.0 champions, who will now have an opportunity to claim up to £5,000 and a potential £20,000 if you win Champions Week, like Jim McEwan did recently at the Live Lounge.
