Gregory Grabs MSS Finale Spot

Harry Gregory dramatically secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning three of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

The 18-year-old, who entered Wednesday’s play on 14 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall, after winning three matches from five, heading a three person points tie to claim the ‘Wednesday Warrior’ finale spot.

The Hawk recorded victories against James Richardson, Gilbert Van der Meijden and Lee Cocks, with his two defeats coming against Harry Ward and John O’Shea, to end on 20 points from a possible 30.

Elsewhere, Harry Ward and Gilbert Van der Meijden will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively also on 20 points, with both missing out on top spot due to leg difference. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Mark Dudbridge, Mike Gillet and Ciaran Teehan.

Lee Cocks, John O’Shea and James Richardson will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Cocks ending on 14 points, O’Shea on 12 points and Richardson on 4 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Jon Worsley, Jamie Atkins and Martin Grearson.

The Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST.
